With over 30 years of experience, Peter Dyer Builders Ltd has earned a reputation for craftsmanship, integrity, and excellence in every build. As an award-winning, licensed building company and proud member of the Master Builders Association, we bring expertise and care to every project: from new homes and renovations to additions, alterations, and light commercial construction and retail builds and fitouts.
We’re passionate about building spaces that reflect quality and longevity. Our team of qualified builders and apprentices ensure attention to detail of every stage of your building project, from foundations to roof.
Holding a Site 2 License means we can coordinate and oversee the construction or alteration of Category 1, 2, and 3 buildings.
We can coordinate your entire build from start to finish, coordinating tradespeople, overseeing budgets and timelines, and ensuring every aspect of your project runs smoothly. Whether it’s a bespoke new home, retail fitout, or functional light commercial or farm building, we deliver results built to stand the test of time.
Based in Northwest Auckland, we work throughout West Auckland and North through to Helensville, Mangawhai and beyond.
Peter Dyer
Owner
Peter is the proud owner and operator of Peter Dyer Builders. He has been in the building industry for over 30 years; this has given Peter extensive knowledge of all aspects of building, including regulations and the best (and often least expensive) way to get things done. He has a keen eye for detail and will often suggest small extras that no one else had thought of but which add hugely to the completed project.
From the design stage to completion, Peter has won numerous awards for construction. His favourite is the Master Builders Association Craftsmanship Award because it represents the effort and quality that goes into every Peter Dyer Builders’ project.
Away from the tools, Peter spends a lot of time in the garden and in his barn, working on classic cars and going to car shows. He also enjoys travelling around New Zealand. Most of all, though, he loves to see the look of joy on his clients’ faces when they see their completed building project.

- 10-Year guarantee: Master Builders offer a 10-year guarantee on their workmanship, providing you with added protection against defects that may arise within the first decade after the completion of your project. This guarantee covers issues such as structural defects, waterproofing defects, electrical and plumbing defects.
- Job completion: Master Builders guarantee the completion of your building project. If a Master Builder is unable to complete your project, another Master Builder will be assigned to finish the job.
- Insurance coverage: Master Builders are required to carry appropriate insurance coverage, including public liability insurance. This provides you with added protection in case of any accidents or damage that may occur during the project.
